Waiting for delicious tea and scrumptious tidbits is so hard but opening a restaurant, especially a fine restaurant, is frustratingly slow.
2/18 Do you want the good news or the bad news first? Okay! Good news is the building permits were approved this morning. The bad news is, what I thought was the ‘building & safety department’ is just building so now we wait on safety. <Insert whichever salty words you please>
Good news is the signs went up last week and two of the three were electrified yesterday. They look fantastic! They are already producing a little buzz too — thank you, everyone. The bad news is the electrical on the large one is trickier and is going to take a bit longer.
Good news is we were able to demo quite a bit of the non-permitted things. There is so much space without all of the built-ins of the previous tenant! The bad news is this place was built oddly and I have to reroute some plumbing.
